There are many types of pets on Club Penguin. Puffles will not be included in this article, since they are virtual and no one is behind the screen controlling them. For more information about puffles, click here. The most common pets that Fam Fams own are dogs or cats. This article will give short descriptions of many of the pets that a pookie may own/take care of during a roleplay.
Dogs (Uppies)[]

Uppies are what fam fam members call "puppies". Even though "uppie" is a pookie slang word, older fam fam members also use it to refer to dogs. They are by far the most common pet to see on Club Penguin/on other CPPSes. Even if uppies are full grown, pookies and other fam fam members still call them uppies.

What do you feed an uppie, and where do they sleep?[]
You should feed an uppie dog food (mostly) but on special occasions or if you are having a fancy dinner, it is fine to give them steak, pork, ham, or any other red meat. Chicken or vegetables are fine too. Also remember to give your uppie plenty of water and play with them/give them attention. Uppies usually sleep in puffle beds, bean bags, or on a family member's bed.
What do uppies wear?[]
Uppies usually wear the African Painted Dog Costume and accessories or they wear a normal pookie outfit with the dog face item.

Kitties are what fam fam members call cats in Club Penguin. There is no pookie word for "cat", and older fam fam members use the word kitty to refer to a kitty.

What do you feed a kitty, and where do they sleep?[]
Kitties usually just eat cat food or fish (like tuna). They usually should drink water, but a little bit of milk won't hurt them (a lot will). Kitties usually sleep in puffle beds, bean bags, or on another fam fam member's bed.
What do kitties wear?[]
Most kitties simply wear the Snow Leopard Costume or the Orange Tabby Cat costume with accessories such as scarves and boas, and maybe a stuffed pet or mittens. The other way kitties may dress is not that common. They wear either the colors black, orange, yellow, white, brown, or if they are on a CPPS, they may wear the color gray. They will also wear dresses, cat ears, boas etc. if the kitty did not choose to wear any of the costumes listed above. For more information on what kitties wear, click here.

What do you feed a bunny, and where do they sleep?[]
Bunnies usually eat carrots, lettuce, celery, or any other vegetable. Some fam fams feed them something called "Bunny Food" which is probably a mix of vegetable and grains. Bunnies almost always sleep in a cage, but very rarely bunnies will sleep in a puffle bed or a bean bag.

Bunnies usually either wear the pink bunny puffle costume, the blueberry bunny outfit, or any of the chocolate bunny outfits.
Farm animals (Chickens, Cows, Pigs, Sheep, and Horses)[]

These pets are by far the rarest pets in pookie society, but they have been seen before.
What do you feed farm animals, and where do they sleep?[]

Chickens should be fed grain, bird seeds, corn, or any other grain-like food. You don't need to feed cows because they just eat the grass in the backyard. Pigs eat anything they see, so if you have loads of leftover table scraps, you can give them to the pig. Sheep, like cows, don't have to be fed since they get their nutrition from grass and clover outside. Horses eat the same as sheep and cows. Chickens sleep in

Chickens usually wear the rooster costume, cows wear the cow outfit, horses wear the horse outfit, sheep wear the sheep outfit, and pigs wear the pig snout and pink.

Sometimes out of affection, the family will give their pet a name. Sometimes it will describe their personality, or they will name the uppie based on their username. Sometimes the uppie may choose their own name, although this is very rare.
Trivia[]
- Some pookies are afraid of/allergic to certain pets, commonly kitties and/or uppies.
- Uppies and kitties usually don't get along. Sometimes, this causes a lot of drama in the fam fam but other times, it's less malevolent and more mischievous.
- Sometimes, fam fams will have pets like dragons and/or unicorns.
- Farm animals are generally the least common pets, while cats/dogs are the most common.
- Sometimes Pets are pookie haters or trolls.
- Just a note, if you're a pet, don't graphically rp going to the bathroom. Just use the fart emote (e + t) and we'll all get what you're doing. There's no need to say "goes pewp" or anything like that.
